ELECTION TO BE HELD

FOR GERMAN

(United Press Association.—By ElectricTelegraph.—Copyright.)

BERLIN, Juanary 13

Following on the refusal of the Hitlerites and the German National Party to support Chancellor Bruening’s plan of extending President Von Hindenburg’s term of office by a Reichstag resolution, the Presidential election will now proceed in the usual way.

The Hitlerites’ support of President Hindenburg’s candidature is regarded as certain. Thus his election is assured.

The only opposition will probably be that of the Communists.

Herr Thaelmann, Communist candidate in 1925 received 1,930,000.
