ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES

MEN HURT IN COLLISION. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) LEVIN, January 14. Two young men, Erie Barrett, and Reg. Smith, both of Wellington, were seriously injured in a collision between tlie motor cycle they were riding and a car driven by Julian Foster, also of Wellington, which occurred six miles south of Levin last evening. The motor cyclists were travelling north and when rounding a corner at R.uru, crashed into the car. Barrett a, compound fracture of the right leg, and Smith a badly crushed foot. Both were suffering from general shock, and were removed to the Palmerston Hospital where their condition is reported to he serious. The car driver was not injured, but the car itself was badly damaged.
