The marriage of Miss Patricia Richards, of Sydney, aged 19 years, to the Euil of Jersey, aged 21 years, took place at St. Margaret’s Church, 'Westminster. '1 lie Earl ot Jersey is a grandson of the late Lord Jersey, who at one time was Governor of New South Wales. The wedding, which, was one of the social events of Louden this winter, was the most youthful society wedding which London has seen for .many years. There were ten bridesmaids. One of the bridesmaids, Mies Brokaw, a member of a New York millionaiie’s family, specially travelled to London to attend the ceremony. She was. like several of the other bridesmaids, a schoolfellow of the bride in Paris.
The guests included Lord Richard Neville, Lord Loughborough, the Countess of SenfieTa, Lady Evelyn Beauchamp, and Air H. Hordern of Svdney.
Some women spectators climbed on to the railings of the church to secure a better view, but mounted police kept the crowds in check. The church was? decorated in lilac, bennuda lilies and also lilies of the valley, which has been specially grown in the bridegroom's conservatories.
Nine-foot Cinquecento vases, filled with scarlet poinsettia, stood on each side of the altar.
The bride wore a diadem of enlaced pearls, thus enhancing her beauty, which is traditional with the bride ,- f the Earl of Jersey. Mrs Kenneth Richards was the hostess at the reception.
