TRAGIC DEATH
WIFE OF MR J. CONNOLLY, M.P. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) ASHBURTON, January 11. . Lucy Laetitia, wife of Jeremiah Connolly, M.P., died at her home at Rakaia yesterday in distressing circumstances. She was crossing a footbridge over a water race when she tripped, striking her head and being stunned. Doaht was apparently due to drowning. She was aged 46 years, and was a daughter - -of Mr and Mrs J. O’Halloran, of Glentui. She was Mr Connolly’s second wife, and leaves a daughter aged six, and a son aged four.
