OBITUARY

HON W. EARNSHAW. ft ' /By Telegraph—Per Press Association I WELLINGTON, December 29. The death is a nnounced of Hon. W. Earnshaw, at six o’clock this morning, after a short illness. Hon. W. Earnshaw was born at Manchester in 1852, and at the age of 21, went to America as a mechanic. He settled in New Zealand in 1878 and was engaged at the Addington workshops. In 1881 he removed to Dunedin, and .represented Ithe Peninsular in Parliament from 1890 to 1893. The next three years he represented the Oity of Dunedin. At one time he was engaged with dredging in Westland.
