HORSE KILLED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 29. Supremacy, the Railway Handicap winner at Ellerslie on Boxing Day broke its leg while galloping this morning and was destroyed. The jockey, H. Stokes sustained concussion when the horse fell, and was admitted to tile hospital. AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. AUCKLAND, Decerabpr 29. Auckland Racing Carnival was continued. Time 2.5 2-5. JOCKEY DIES FROM INJURIES. AUCKLAND, December 29. Exaggeration fell in the first race. The rider, H. E. Stockley, was injured, and died on the way to the hospital. He was apprenticed by J, Friar of Hawera. f MANAAVATU RACES. CONCLUDING DAY. P ALMERSTON NORTH, Dec. 29. Nielson, veterinary surgeon in charge of the racehorse, Phar Lap will be put aboard the Monowai to day and throughout the voyage to San Francisco will be housed in a specially prepared box situated on the top deck. He will be fed with New Zealand grass. The box will be floored with sand and provision is made for an exercise yard, also floored with sand. Nielson said the horse had been entered for eleven big races in America. OWNEB’S DECLARATiON. . SAN FRANCISCO, December 28. Davis declares. Phar Lap will sail for ■San Francisco as scheduled. He declined to make any further comment, or discuss his conference with Crofton.
