Fearing complications in the event of a forced landing, the British authorities have requested Kingsford Smith not to fly into Turkish territory on the return trip. Consequently he is taking one of several longer alternative routes. BERT HINKLER, RECEIVED BY PRINCE. RUGBY, December 19. Bert Hinkler was received by the Prince of Wales, to whom he related his experiences on his I'ecord making flight. The Prince also received Watkins and Augustine Courtauld, the Arctic explorers. Courtauld and Watkins took with them to York House a number of charts and photographs, in which the Prince displayed keen interest. HINKLER’S PLANS. LONDON, December 19. The “Daily Herald” says that Bert Hinkler is giving Britain a month to make up its mind whether it will employ him. He is then accepting a big job in the United States. A “Diaily Telegraph” writer, “Gossiper,” expresses the opinion that it is probable that Hinkler will be retained by a famous British firm of aero engine manufacturers as a test pilot. WORLD FLIGHT. SAUL AND MOLLIS ON. LONDON, December 18. The “Irish Times” says Captain Paddy Saul, who accompanied AtrCommodore O. E. Kingsford Smith on his trans-Atlantic flight, is planning a world flight with the Australian airman, Mr J. A. Mollison, as pilot, in an effort to beat Post and Gatty’s record. He expects to start in tne spring from England.
