ROWDY ELEMENT DISPERSES

The, Nanking student movement was scotched overnight. The Government troops surprised and surrounded the students’ encampment, and escorted the Shanghai, Peipang and Tsinan students to the railway .stations where 'Special trains were under steam, ready for instant departure.
The students were compelled to go aboard, and were despatched to their respective homes. The entire proceedings occupied a couple of hours, The capital is now entirely rid of the unruly element. The “Central Daily News,” the ■Government organ, was wrecked yesterday by the students’ riots, but the paper appeared to-day in an abbreviated form, announcing' that the printing plant wa,s a total wreck. Cue member of the paper’s staff was seized and stabbed to death, while two students were drowned in a creek when trying to escape the soldiers.
