A .special tribunal at Bengal sentenced Latel Chandra Raha, who was arrested for murder, of Mr Cassells in August, to five years hard labour, for possessing a revolver without a license. He was acquitted on the charge of attempted murder. U. 9. POLITICS. WASHINGTON, 'December 17. \ The moratorium took its first legislative hurdle to-day by gaining tne approval of the House of Ways and Means Committee.
