The expected resignation of President Chiang-Kai-Sliek, as the result of the pressure from the Student Organisations, was confirmed this morning at Nanking. 'i'nere is an emergency meeting of the Government Party leaders being , held there to consider the situation. The students’ opposition to the Government’s foreign policy has caused H many demonstrations throughout the country. ' General Chiang-Kai-Shek’s successor i.s uncertain, but his resignation opens the way for the southern leaders, Wang Ohingwei, Wonfu and Hulianinin. ,
