WESTLAND SEAT. The scrutiny of the. rolls and the recount of the votes in the Westlar.d election on December 2, was completed by Mr Cox, Returning Officer, yesterday. The following particulars give the complete returns: Greenslade O'Brien In. Recount 3809 4926 45
Mr O'Brien's final majority was 1121. fhe total votes cast were 8328. Of the informal votes 21 were at Grey mouth and 2 at Hokitika. A number of declaration votes were rejected, as also five absent voters’ papers.
