PICTON REGATTA. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WANGANUI, December 8. . At a special meeting of. the Wanganui Rowing Association last night, it was decided to send a. crew to compete < in j th» >eight-oai* 'inter-Provineiaf 1 race at Picton next week. It was stated that Wanganui, which was one of tile chief rowing centres in New Zealand, had beeli unrepresented for • some time, but the reduced cost of 'transport would enable the Assoda* tion to send a crew south, ; When discussing the sending of the - !:i t to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles, crew to Picton, it was mentioned that -A' if New Zealand were to send a crew -' the selection of that crew, would ' v -*Jr largely depend on the form of the row.
