RECOGNITION SOUGHT. (By Telegraph—Per Pres’ Association 1 .) WANGANUI, December 8. When New Zealand’s first air mail left Bluff for Auckland, it was discovered that Wanganui had been left out as a. stopping place (Urgent tel grams were sent to the'! authorities, and the plane , stopped -at Wanganui oil. the return journey from Auckland. As it is considered that Wanganui has one of the best landing fields ,in New Zealand, and, in addition, is., the most centrally situated of . all the aerodromes in either Island,, representations have been made for. the inclusion of Wanganui as the stopping place for mail planes in the future. Hon. A. Hamilton informed the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce last night that further services < were not contemplated at present, but when the matter was - brought up, Wanganui’s claims would be considered.
