BOXING CLUB
A meeting was held on Monday evening with the "following present; Mr F. McGregor (chair), Messrs ,F. Ballinger, J. Johnson, M. McGavin, -R. Furness, jR. Collett, D. Breeze, E. Heenan. Apologies from J. .Stafford and J. Atkinson. , The minutes were read and confirmed. Two small laccounts were passed for payment. Advice was received of the new amateur weights. The flv .weight is raised from 7st 101 b to 8 stone, leaving a range of 171bs in this class above the paper weight. Mr McGregor moved that a shrimp class with the limit 7st 4!bs be adopted. Seconded by R. Furness and car ied. The weights now are ; —Atom, limrt 4st • baby weight 4st 7.'bs ; sandfly sst dibs ; mosquito 6st; paper 6st 91bs; shrimp 7a: 4lbs ; and the New Zealand Association classes: Fly Bst ; bantam Bst 61bs; feather 9st; light ?st 91bs; welter lOst 71bs ; middle list 61bs; lightheavy 12st 71bs; and heavy all above. Arrangement- for the bout, Freitas v. AY. Hawes (Builev feather champion), are comp. .•to. and a welter bout, Duggan /(Runanga) v. Moore '(Gveymouth) is being arranged.
