ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. x. There was a small yarding of store sheep, mostly wethers. Competition was dragging on a lower basis of values. There wa s a larger entry of rnt lambs, with many light, weight consignments. Butchers were keen for extra choice lots. ,; ‘l f!i There was a medium yarding ofJ fat sheep. Last week’s values were maintained for good quality. The trade met keener competition. Best heavy wethers sold 19s to 20s, prime 17s to 18s, medium 15s to 16s, light 12s to 14s, ewes prime heavy 14s to 15s, prime 12s to 13s, medium 10s to 11s, light from 7s. There was a smaller yarding of fat cattle, hut very few heavy bullocks. There was no appreciable improvement in values. Best heavy bullocks sold to £l2 2s 6d, prime £8 10s to £lO 15s, medium £7 os to £8 os, light from £6 7s 6d; heavy heifers to £9 17s 6d, prime £5 to £7 10s, medium £4 17s 6d to £5 10s, inferior from £4 10s. Heavy ( cows sold to £8 17s 6d, medium £5 10s to £7 10s, inferior £3. There was a large yarding of fat pigs. Porkers were much easier. Heavy baconers were particularly hard to quit. It was a very dragging sale. Store pigs were easier.' '
