perfect time for This model “Bulle” Clock," on mahogany stand, with vt asJ shade, height 10 ;&his .^S/10/r, Similar type, height 16 inches ■ *7 Mahogany cased "Bulle" 800Jay Clock, 8, inches, high by 1 inches wide-,, .. .. £6/15/ln Oak Case, same design • } £6/10/Similar types, 9 inches high by 8 inches wide, oak .. £7 .Mahogany ... .. .. £7/10/over 2 years without afiy attention ! The “Bulle” Clock is quite a new entry into the field of electrical horology. The essential mechanism of the clock consists of a pendulum which is virtually a coil of insulated wire; through the coil an electric current is established and interrupted at regular intervals by an ingenious contact device. During its vibration the pendulum moves over a curved permanent magnet, and the magnet reaction set up between the permanent magnet and the electro-magnetic pendulum coil is the source of power by which th< pendulum is kept vibrating. Unlike obsolete and existing types-of electro-magnetically maintained pendulum clocks, the pendulum of thij “Bulle” Clock, on receiving a starting impulse, has both the' properties of a dynamo and a motor, consequently very little current is drawn from the battery. Another feature is the propelling electrical force generated by the vibrating coil and magnet, tending also to reduce the amount of current drawn from the battery. In fact, by adopting this novel form of propulsion, the- inventors claim that it is an easy matter for one battery to operate the rlock for ten . years. The absence of complicated mechanism and the highly efficient electromagnetic principle on which the dock functions will make tins the tnost popular clock of the future.
