CROPS DAMAGED
BY FROST AND HAIL. (By Telegraph,—Per Press Association) . ' ;• CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 25. A frost of eight degrees, last night caused extensive damage to young fruit trees, new potatoes, and tomatoes throughout North Canterbury. Further damage was caused by a sharp hailstorm in some districts. A grower lost six acres of marrows and pumpkins. , At Leeston, hailstorms broke windows, hardly orie house not being touched in this,way, and the skylights at the railway station, as well as the Poet Office windows were smashed.
