NEW ANIMAL IN RUSSIA
GOAT, SHEEP, AND COW
It is the intention of the Soviet Commissariat of Agriculture to produce, by cross-breeding, a weird new Soviet animal, as prolific as a goat, as fleecy ns a sheep, and as milky as the best type of milch cow, but able to graze anywhere. This new Soviet beast, in fact, will “corner” all the positive qualities ot these animals, but it does not seem to occur to the optimistic ‘ Red breeders that their efforts may equally well produce a monstrous mongrel, combining all the notorious failings of the goat, sheep and cort, ; , The “Sewing Research Institute* connected with the ready-made clothing trust- has invited all Soviet artists for competition designed to produce, an entirely new and more suitable standard type of clothes lor Russians living under Socialism.
