WELLINGTON, November 24

Whether Dr. Moser who was found dead in bis surgery at Alasterton on March 3rd last, committed suiyiffe, ,oi; not, was the question involved fn an ■potion commenced—the Supreme Court, in which his widow claims from the Norwich Union Life Insurance Society £IOOO as being allegedly due .under the policy taken out by Moser. Defendant alleged that Dr. Moser committed suicide, and therefore the policy was void. Counsel for defence agreed that the onus was on them to prove the allega tion, it being stated that death occurred * six weeks after the policy 'was taken out.

The allegation is that death was from chloroform self-administed.
