A SHOOTING .AFFRAY

Syndicalists here as a protest against the prohihi* ion of the carrying of arms, start.d a shooting affray. It lasted for live hours. Five hundred cartridges were expended. The shooting resulted in the deaths of a policeman and also' of a woman who was bringing children from school. Six were injured. Several of the gunmen took refuge behind a shop counter, and they kept off police and evaded arrest.
