BIG EXPLOSION
IN MELBOURNE SUBURB.

MELBOURNE, November 19,
A terrific explosion and a fire tliae followed completely wrecke/1 .two brick shops and extensively damaged a third one at Clifton Hill, a suburb, this morning. Nobody was injured. The explosion was heard a mile away. It is believed to have been caused by an escape of gas.
