Mr Charles Powell, a Manchester textile worker, won the International Photographic Competition prize of £2666 sterling with remarkable holiday photographs, his fiancee sitting on a cliff edge on the Isle of Man against a background of cloud and sea with the sky illuminated by the setting sun. Powell already has won the National Grand Prize of one thousand sterling, and the British Isles' Class award of £2OO. Mr E. A.
