The League Council listened to M. Briand’s exposition of the Manchuria situation. It adjourned till to-morrow to enable >M. Briand to detail further the Japanese demands, including the precise degree to which the treaties will affect the national economic *«- iterests, after which tlie Council will re-attempt to produce a Sino-Japanese understanding.
