Calcutta i& suffering from an epedemic of malignant malaria as tne result of the advance on the city of mosquitos from the Malay Peninsula.

Hundreds of cases have been admitted to the hospitals within the past week.

So .serious has the matter become that a deputation of heads of firms waited on Mir Jackson to urge immediate measures to stem the advance of the disease, as whole staffs are incapacitated.
