A TRAGIC OCCURRENCE,,

PALMERSTON N. f Nov. 14. Thomas Charles Seblis, aged 50 years, living at Mangamutu, near Pahiatua, shot himself under tragic circumstances yesterday afternoonHe came home from his employment at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, after purchasing his wife and daughter a concession railway ticket to Auckland for the 5 o’clock train. Just as his wife and daughter were leaving for the train, he attacked his wifei His son intervened, and a neighbour succeeded in stopping the father, who then went inside hi s residence, came out, entered the motor shed, and set fire to his car, and then went to the bock of the' shed and shot himself. He had a family of seven. %

The Press Association has been advised by the Telegraph Department, that, from to-day until and including December 4th, the Parliamentary sessional allowances in regard to telegraphed press messages to the morning and evening papers, will be continued.
