SEQUEL TO COLLISION. ■ INTOXICATED DRIVER 10. ORE ; POLICE. ( By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 16. —.George Keepa 'Rov, aged 32, on Satmday evening ignored the request by a police patrol on the Hutt Road to stop his lorry, when he was driving at a speed alleged to be 50 miles per hour. At an intersection of the Ngahauranga Gorge Road he collided with a parked motor-car, 'ripping the side out, and doing other damage. Roy’s lorry was overturned, and he was taken to hospital, where lie was found to be under the influence of liquor.
As the Magistrate did not wish to him of his means of livelihood he ■fined him £3O 'for being drunk in charge of a lorry, and convicted and discharged him on the , charge of gerous driving, and ordered him to take out a prohibition order.
