HOKITIKA V. GREYMOUTH. > Eight' players from the Greymouth Club will visit Hokitika on Wednesday to play a friendly match with Hokitika, commencing at 10 o’clock. The following will represent HokitikaMiss Houston, Miss Coles, Mrs Cox Mrs lloss, Mrs Wilson, Miss Adamson, Mrs Dorreen and Mrs Cagney PHENOMENAL SCORE. (Australian Press Association.) (SYDNEY, November 15. The professional golf title of New South Wales went to T. E. Howard, who defeated Don Spence 13 up and 11 to play. At tire end of the phenomenal morning round, of sixtyiseven, Howard was eight up, and, although Spence made a game fight in the v afternoon, he was outplayedHoward, seldom made a mistake, and when the match was finished, he had. an average of four under fours for the day. His score was a record for the final of any Australian championship. Howard, who is forty-three years old. wen the open championship of Australia in 1923, and' the professional championship in 1925. Other notable victories or his include the amateur championship of New South Wales in 1919-21. He turned professional in 1921.
