PERTH, November 14
Owing to alleged go-slow practices since the new award opiated, tlfe Amalgamated Collieries Limited, own ers of five colliery mines, dismissed a number of men and closed one pit.. The union? are now proceeding jagainst the Company alleging a lockout. The Railway Department are obtaining coal from Newcastle at a price 2/9 (above the colliery rates.
