HERMIT’S WEALTH
DISCLOSED AFTER DEATH. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 12. Henry Charles Swan, a hermit, who recently died in Auckland, is mentioned in a London cablegram. He died after living the life of a recluse for over 25 years on a yacht moored in a creek at Henderson. He was to be wealthy.- He owned a fruit farm at first, and then he made a homo on the boat, in which he previously had made pleasure cruises, He was 76 years of age. LONDON, November 12. The late Henry Charles Swan, was well known iu Tyneside, England. He was a partner in the Newcastle firm of Arnott, Swan and Walker, ' which was founded by his uncle a century ago, and which still exists. Before going to New Zealand, Swan started a small fruit farm in Northumberland.
A Newcastle solicitor, who is managing his affairs, states that though Swan was comfortably off, his estate is nothing approaching a quarter of a million.
