GOOD TIME TO BUILD. WELLINGTON } November 7. All who are contemplating building would be wise to take advantage ot the present cheap price of timber, according to advice tendered by Mr J. B. Reid, of Wellington, at the annual conference of the New Zealand Timber Merchants’ Federation in Wellington on Wednesday, . 1 ,Mr Reid, the., retiring vice-president, called attention to the exceptionally low cost of all building supplies at the present time, but with particular referende to timber. Timber, he said, pwas in many cases being sold at less than actual cost of production and delivery. Labour costs had also been substantially reduced ) and it would appear tfiat all who were contemplating building would be wise to take advantage of the present, situation.
