BOMB OUTRAGE
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE.
AT OPPOSITION LEADER’S HOME

A bomb was placed under it-he mat on the front verandah of the home, of ;the Leader of the Opposition, Sjf Stanley Argyles, apd exploded night, causing much damage to the front part 'of the house. The front windows ' were shattered and the verandah extensively damaged, while the door ahd framework were splintered) and the plaster dislodged from the ceilings and walls. ■% Sir i Siaftley, was, abs.en't ai time,: hitt Lady Argyle,: her .daughter, her niece and maid were in bed, hut they were not injured.
The noise of the explosion was heard miles away. The crime follows close*iy * upon” threats received by other public mfen. Lady Argyle is of the opinion that the bomb was placed as a warning try Sir .Stanley.
