FATALITY AT HERMITAGE
(Christchurch Times). “ % William iWogan, aged twenty-two, a j single man, employed as a barman all the Hermitage, Mount Cook,' waV aoci.' ' dentally shot dead at 6.15 on Thursday . evening, A loaded .22 pea rifle, which he had been examining, fell on the floor and discharged, the bullet passing through his head. Wogan had intended to go shooting next day, and when the fatality occurred ' V he was with a man, from whom the rifle had been borrowed. Wogan’s home was in Hokitika.
