SYDNEY, November 'S. ? Over a thousand seamen have offered themselves for work.
Ormiston sailed for Brisbane
It is stated in political Labour circles, thnt the Government has referred the recent public utterance of a number of prominent members of the New Guard to the Crown Law Department for an opinion as to whether a breach, of the Law were committed.
Addressing a great crowd at Rockdale, Colonel Campbell said that the New Guard was determined that every Communist must be out of Australia within four month*.
“This State to-day, is virtually under Red control, and our elected representatives are, consciously or unconsoiously, making! the Communists’ task easier by their Soviet legislation.” He said it was quite constitutional for the Governor to dissolve Parliament, and the; New Guard was at present considering the advisability of organising to this end.
“The Government must declare Coni' munism an offence, punishable by deportation. If the Government is so blind as to refuse this request, we must carefully consider wslither or not our duty is to put these people out ourselves.”
Because of threats of violence, Colonel Campbell and member® of his family have bodyguards.
