. Lord Tennyson, speaking at the Ferret’s Cricket Club dinner, said that Don Bradman was perfectly right to refuse the Accrington Club’s offer to him to come to England. He also assorted that though Bradman is one of the finest batsmen in the world, and had scored a great deal, he was not in the same class as Tvumper and Hill and . others. He had not half the strokes of Hobbs, Woolley, and Sutcliffe. He added that tire sooner that Bradman did not want to get his nanr in print the better. Mr Arthur Gilligan agreed with Lord Tennyson. At a luncheon to the New Zealand cricketers, it' was announced that shareholders in Netv Zealand Cricket Ltd., would get their money back, plus G per cent, interest. The gate takings on the 1927 tour were £3,300, and on this tour ’over £BOOO, and this in spite of rain. The team to represent Old Boys on Saturday will be selected from the following: Schroder, Bell, Jolley (2), Dolbridgo, Walker, Stapleton, Morgan (2), Mitehel, Tooliey, Lajng, Hughes (2).
