ARMAMENT TRUCE
BRITAIN AND THE LEAGUE. (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) RUGBY, November 3, The British Government has addressed a Note to the General of the League of Nations, notifying him that, as they were con-' vinced that the Disarmament Conference will be greatly promoted by a general 'undertaking by all of the United States -not to increase their armaments lor one year as from November Ist, 1931, and are prepared to accept an armaments truce as proposed by the twelfth Assembly. The Note adds: ’ “If the result of unforeseen circumstances, such as are more likely to rise in the case of the countries having any responsiblny overseas, the British Government should be compelled to suspend the operations of this truce they -will immediately notify the League.
