MR MACDONALD’S CONCERN

(By Telegraph—Per Press Association)

RUGBY, Nov. 3,

The Prime Minister. Mr MacDonald, who, owing to other occupations during the recent weekjs, had been unable to devote himself'to the Indian Round Table Conference, made himself conversant yesterday with its outstanding issues in interviews with Lord Sankey, Sir S. Hoare, the Aga Khan, and Sir Tej Sapru. This morning his cillers included Mr Gandhi and Pundit Malaviya. It i s anticipated that during his present brief holiday at Lossiemouth Mr MacDonald will give careful consideration to the difficult aspects of the Indian problem, and it is hoped that, on his return to London next week, he will again address himself to it s major problems. Meanwhile, excellent progress has been made, in committee, with that part of the work of the Conference, which does not infringe on the minorities question.
