DEMPSTER’S BATTING. RECOGNISED BY COUNC.L. AUCKLAND, November 2. C. S. Dempster was. presented with a replica of the 'Redpath Cup at the official luncheon to-day, m behalf of the New Zealand (Cn’.cket Council, Mr D. Reese said that that was the third occasion upon which .‘Dempster had won the trophy. “This cup is giving for the -best batsman in |New Zealand for a particular season, and oil /this occasion I think I can safely say‘the presentation is for the best batsman we have ever had in New Zealand,” >added Mr Reese.
