SYDNEY November 3*. “Damnably untrue” is how Mr Watt K.C., referred to.certain statements in the prospectus issued by the Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation, when an action was instituted by Australian Brokerage Ltd., for recovery of £20,090 for alleged breach of. warranty and false representation. The case is being heard before Justice Stephens and a jury.
Plaintiffs alleged that defendants were guilty of misrepresentation in the recent sale of their shares. ) The defence was a denial and a contention that plaintiffs wer e not ready or willing to carfy out their contract with defendants.
