THE COUNCIL. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. November 4. In the Legislative Council, the Law Practitioners Bill (Sir T. fcudey r ) was introduced, read a second time pio forma and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. The Bill is a eonsolidatory mintsure. The amendment made by the House in the Stamp Duties Amendment Hi- 1 was agreed to. Sir James Parr moved the committal of the Trading Coupons Bill, which was reported irom the Statutes Revision Committee without amendment. The Bill was put through the remaining stages and passed without amendment.

THE HOUSE. In the House of Representatives, the Inspection of Machinery Amendment Bill was introduced by Govern-or-General’s message and read a, first time. Mr Cobbe said, the measure *exenipted farm machinery of not more than six horsepower from the necessity for an annual inspection. ESTIMATES ALL PASSED.
