Fred Parker 11.4$ (Timaru) retained the New Zealand middleweight championship against Len Turner 11.1 (Nelson) on Saturday night, the referee stopping the bout in the thirteenth round, after +b° champion - had floored his opponent four times. Up to the thirteenth round, the poiuts were even. PALMER F.N ROUTE FOR N.Z. SYDNEY, November 2. Mr Griffiths, Manager of Sydney -Stadium, was surprised to learn today that the boxer Ambrose (Tiger) Palmer sailed on Friday .for New Zealand. Mr Griffiths' was -arranging another match for Palmer against 'Hannaberry on December 14th, and caimot understand his departure without notice.
