Charles Quigg, ft single man, about 25 years, of Matamata, was killed today 1 b v coming in contact with ft live wire at Ma.ugaitL The deceased was. engaged bv the Public Works Department in erecting a telephone wire on poles'carrying high tension wires on the top.

GISBORNE, November 2
At the resumed inquest to-day concerning the death of the ten-year-old girl Doreen Mary Hogan, who was fatally injured on October 23rd, as the result of a collision with a car, me principal evidence was given by the deceased’s companion. She said s lie and deceased were riding their cycles home from school, and bouncing a ball between them. The deceased missed the ball on one occasion, and it went across the road. The deceased rode after it. hut the car came along and struck her. The coroner returned a verdict of death from the injuries received, and exonerated the driver of the car, Geoil'rey Charles Parker, from blame.
