A message from Newark (New Jersey) states that the late Thomas Edison’s will filed for probate, revealed that the inventor left an estate estimated at over 14,000,000 dollars (nearly £3,000,000), principally to his six children. .None of that amount was left to charity nor to his widow, who was already provided for.
