FARMERS’ UNION
RESOLUTIONS PASSED. 'By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 29. The Farmers’ Union Executive lias passed a resolution recommending that a reduction of higher salaries and of wages is necessary to conform with an equitable distribution of national income. This has been substituted for a remit- recommending a twenty yer cent, reduction of all salaries and all wages over £250 a year.
The Executive has also resolved that the Government be asked to reduce further the rates of interest on all tile future and all its existing business.
The Union also asks the Government to arrange with the State Advances Department to i - elease the farmers of their instalment on the long term mortgages while the depression lasts.
