RECIPROCAL TRADE
AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND. SYDNEY, October 28. Mr Forties. Minister of Customs, retained to the subject of reciprocal trade between Australia and New Zealand to-day. He said he would possibly visit the Dominion, or alternatively a Dominion Minister may lie invited to Australia to discuss an extension of trade between the two countries. The pressure- of Parliamentary work and the economic crisis had presented deeper consideration of this question earlier, but the*time had ar-! rived when a better understanding should be achieved as there was much in common between Australia aim New Zealand which would justify a. 1 substantial development of trade. ■' Meanwhile any representations whmn thoi Dominion Government care to J make would receive sympathetic, earnest consideration by the -Commonwealth Government.
