SHIPPING TROUBLE

SEAMEN LEAVE SHIPS. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 27. Seamen and firemen on the Ormiston decided not to renew their articles, which' expired yesterday. They are awaiting the decision of to-day’s meeting at the Town Hall before taking any further action. The crews of several other ships are doing likewise. Failing a settlement it is expected a call will.be made for volunteers. The Federal Ministry will recommend its attitude towards the strike, if no settlement is reached by to-morrow.
