SHOOTING OF A CONSTABLE
ARREST AT BRISBANE. (Australian Press Association.) * BRISBANE. October 25. The police have arrested a. man in a camp near AVinton in connection with a crime committed at Adelaide, when a woman, armed with a rifle, appeared and covered the constables and ordered them to release the man. As soon as they complied, the man drew a revolver and shot Constable Blackadder and disappeared with th e woman.
