The entrants mi in bored 245, the highest number of designs submitted by any single entrant, being fifty-two. Tiie Board lias awarded fourteen prizes of £25 each, conditionally on some slight amendments in the design being made bv the successful artists. The .Minister indicated that the awards have been made as follows: Halfpenny stamp: A Fantail in Clematis: Jas. Fitzgerald of Christchurch.

One penny: Kiwi: C. H. and It. J. G. Collins, of Christchurch. One penny half-penny: A Maori girl cooking food: M. Matthews. AVellington. Two pence: A Maori wliare : H. AV. Young of Auckland. Two pence half-penny: Mount Cook, with local lilies: I. C'. Mitchell, of Wellington. Three pence: The head of a Maori girl, T. C. Mitchell, of Wellington. Four pence: Mitre Peak: James Fitzgerald, of Christchurch, Five pence: A Swordfish: It. E. Tripe and W. J. Gooch of Wellington. Six pence: The Reaper; T. I. Archer of Nasik Road, India, Eight pence: A Tautara, I. C. -Mitchell, of Wellington. Nine pence: A Maori ornament and decoration : I. F. Cadler, of AA rellington. Olio shilling: Droving: Marcus King, of AVellington. Two shillings: The landing of “Cook”: T. 11. .Tonkin, A.R.C.A. Invercargiil. Three shillings: Egmont: J. C. Alitchell, of AA T ellington.
