HIGH BUTTERFAT PAYMENT. At a meeting of Directors of the Westland Dairy Company held yesterday, the payment of a bonus of If pence on all hutterfat supplied during the last season was confirmed. Payments made during the year were as follows:—August LI, September 1/-, October to July inclusive ]od. These amounts, together with the bonus made a. nett payout to suppliers of 11.85 pence per lb. for the past year. In comparison with other factories collecting cream, this payment appears to be the highest on the Coast, the nearest being practically one farthing less In addition the Company undertakes a considerable amount of fi’ee cartage to its suppliers. This, together with tile payment made is a matter for congratulation and doubtless suppliers are very pleased with the past season's results. The annual meeting was fixed for November 20th.
