In the first round Brisnd beat Glendining two up, E. Pumphrey beat Collins 1 up, Dogdshum beat McDougall 2 and 1, B. Smith jnr. beat I. McEwan by Burst beat Petley 2 and 1, Haverfield beat W. Harman 3 and 1, Arnould beat Bott 5 and 4, Hornabrook beat Louisson 4 and 3, E. Macfarlane beat J. R. Smith 7 and 5, Millard ibeat Seouler 4 and 2. . SECOND ROUND.

Mortlock beat S.‘ Rutherford 5 and 4. P. Anderson beat Sir Cyril Ward 1 up. Roberts beat Jeffries 2 and 1. W. D.Wood beat Weston, 5 and 3. Wagg beat Fisher 6 and 4. Clark beat Templeton 7 and 5. Lawrence beat Abernethv 4 and 3. H. A. Black beat Foster 4 and 2. Tosswill beat Reese 6 and 5. Wilson beat Gaclbv 4 and 3.

The course, is in good order but a wind made scoring hard. There were no real upsets though E. J. Pumphrey beat Collins one up. E. Macfarlane was in great form playing easily and wail to win 7 and 5. Branch three up on Dyke. Fuller was two up on Lambie. Blair and J. Ross all square;/ Forrest two up on J. Macintosh. J. Clements 1 up on Butters. J. Forrest two up on L. Ross. O. Clements and E. Douglas all square. THE HOKITIKA CLUB. 'The match for Airs Baker’s trophy, which was played last week was won by Mrs Colin Ross, who carried the Hag well down the nineteenth fairway. The Junior Championship was won by Miss Adamson who won from Mrs Tomlinson 3 up and 2 to go. The Beai’e Bowl Bogey and the Junior Bogey Match will be be played on Wednesday next. Miss Elsie Cooke won the October Junior Medal Match.
