SCULLIN’S OPTIMISM. (Australian Press Association.) CANBERRA, October id. The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon e. U. Scuilin, to-day expressed his gratification at the improvement that is being shown by Australian securiteies on the London market. -ur Scuilin said that the five per cent. Commonwealth stocks had improved to the extent of eighteen pounds sterling in a little more than a fortnight. He was confident that a further improvement will soon he recorded. The Prime Minister is particularly pleased at the all round buoyancy ot the Stock Exchanges at Sydney and at Melbourne, and also at the marked recovery of the wool prices.
